Afro Brazil
Black Excellence, History & Culture
September 15 – 24, 2023

Afro-Brazilians still maintain and manage to preserve the culture and traditions of their ancestors in matters of music, cuisine, religion, and languages. While Nigeria has the largest black population in the world, Brazil has the second largest. This means that outside Africa, Brazil has the largest black population in the world.

Afro-Brazilians are descendants of various African ethnic groups that were brought to Brazil as slaves and greatly influenced the tenets of Brazilian culture.
